Credo Bank Hosted the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) European Regional Chapter Meeting 2024
Credo Bank hosted the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) European Regional Chapter Meeting in Tbilisi.
Bringing together leaders from 17 European member banks and participants from Asia Pacific, to exchange insights and address shared challenges. The event highlighted the importance of advocacy, collective capital strategies, and innovative solutions for financial inclusion, strengthening the European Chapter’s dedication to advancing values-based banking.
“As the GABV's only Georgian member, we were truly honored to host the European Regional Chapter Meeting and demonstrate our commitment to values-based banking,” said Zaza Pirtskhelava, Chief Executive Officer of Credo Bank. “Being part of the GABV connects Credo Bank to a global community of financial institutions committed to fostering positive economic, social, and environmental impact. This involvement strengthens our commitment to delivering affordable and innovative financial products and services to the customers. We were delighted to have 17 of our 21 European members present, along with the GABV Chair, our Board Member for Latin America, and our Board Member at Large. During the meeting, we were inspired by Credo Bank's remarkable journey, growing from rural microfinance roots to becoming the 5th largest and one of the most digital banks in Georgia, serving one-third of the country's rural population. Key topics included collective advocacy, supporting Europe's Social Economy, solutions to financial exclusion and strategies for raising capital and finance for growth.”
