Here, you'll find all the essential information related to card usage, security, and protection against cyber fraud, along with details about conversion schemes and more.
3D Security:
- What is 3D Security?
- 3D Security Service is a secure method for online card transactions that protects users from fraudulent activities and unauthorized card use. This service is active for all Credo Bank cards and is completely free.
- How it Works:
- After entering your card details (16-digit number, expiration date, CVV), a 3D verification code is sent to your registered phone number. This minimizes the risk of unauthorized card use.
- For sites where your card data is saved, 3D verification is only required for the first transaction, except for high-risk merchants where verification is needed for both initial and recurring payments.
- The 3D verification code is valid for a limited time. If entered incorrectly three times, the card will be restricted from online transactions.
Security Mechanism:
- Risk Monitoring Program: Credo Bank's new security mechanism monitors suspicious operations related to Credo Bank cards and POS terminals. If a transaction cannot be completed successfully, contact Credo Bank's information center at *4242 or visit the nearest service center to remove the restriction.
Google Pay / Apple Pay:
- Ease of Use: Add your plastic cards to Google Pay and Apple Pay to make contactless payments even easier.
- Security: Both payment systems are among the most secure globally, being products of Google and Apple.
Card Insurance:
Protection: Activate the card insurance service to protect yourself from losses caused by illegal transactions.
Conversion Scheme:
- Currency Operations: Card transactions are credited to the account in the currency of the transaction, regardless of the preferred currency chosen by the customer. Detailed information about the conversion scheme can be found here
Security Tips:
- Phishing Protection: Detailed tips on how to protect yourself from cyber fraud can be found here
Card Activation:
- Activation Process: To activate your card, insert it into an ATM and perform a PIN operation, or activate the card through Mycredo.
Payment Methods with Plastic Cards:
PINless Contactless Payment Limit: The total limit for PINless contactless payments is 600 GEL. If this limit is reached, the next transaction must be confirmed with a PIN. After PIN confirmation, the 600 GEL limit is reset. This rule does not apply to transactions made with electronic wallets (Google Pay, Apple Pay) or for paying transport fares.
